Life is Crazy

Isn't it crazy to think about the lives that we live and our everyday interactions. Just wow.

I find the lives that we live to be completely amazing and fascinating. The special moments that stick with us forever, the different people who impact our lives at various stages, and the many lessons we learn along the way—these all play a role in shaping who we are as individuals and what makes us unique.

One of the craziest parts of life is that each one of us is living our own story. We are all the main characters, living out a totally unique plotline with different purposes or destinations. The beautiful part about this is that sometimes our stories overlap.

We cross paths with countless individuals in our day-to-day lives. Whether it’s the cashier who rings you up for your morning coffee, the stranger on the subway you share a smile with, or the person you love the most, waiting to give you a hug after a long day apart. The majority of these moments are just a blur, but perhaps they become a part of your story.

We come across people who make us smile and feel good—the kind of people who you don’t want to just be a passing figure. Maybe it’s the way they look at you, the energy they radiate, or the brief conversation you shared that draws you in. These connections could be the start of new chapters with new characters. Sometimes, these connections lead to nothing but lessons learned. I’ve had my fair share of both types of connections, but in the big picture, they are all special for what they were.

Finding true alignment with another individual in our world is rare. To find someone whose values, energy, and destination somehow align closely with yours—these are the people who make your story more meaningful just by being a part of it.

I found my person in a bar in Europe when I least expected it. Somewhat alone, in a foreign country, with no intention of finding any meaningful connection. But there she was. Someone I could have connected with many times before, back "home." But no, we met when each of us least expected it, yet almost needed it the most. The timing of life is so unpredictable and beautiful.

It seems easy to say that life doesn’t unfold according to our plans. I think there is a bigger life plan than what we can foresee. No matter how much we plan, many of our defining moments come when we least expect them. You never quite know when a bump in the road is going to open up a new path you never knew was possible. Sometimes, things go exactly the way you predicted. Other times, it’s complete chaos. But we must come to terms with and accept the chaos. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that all things come in time.

The lives that we live are so special. No one can truly change the story but yourself. Yes, the train might get derailed along the way, but it’s up to us to find a way to keep moving forward. It’s easy to focus on the negatives in life, but we’ve got to take the time to find the good in things.

Every connection, every interaction, and every story is unique. Go live yours, and live it according to you. Have fun along the way, find the people who make you better, and do the things that make you feel good.

We only live our lives once.
